Construction is in Joe Krusinski’s blood. You might even say it’s in his genes.

He shares his late father’s name and passion for an industry that has seen many changes since Joe began working in construction more than 60 years ago. Watching his father move up the ranks to become a carpenter and then a project superintendent, Joe would often work on projects with him during weekends, vacations and summer breaks.

Another family member reinforced the younger man’s interest in the field. Joe’s uncle was an architect and a general contractor and encouraged Joe to make construction his life’s work. Joe enrolled at the University of Illinois at Chicago and after graduating with an architecture degree in 1969, he accepted a full-time job with an architectural and engineering firm, where he had worked while in college.
